The Art of Walking

Chance looked behind and saw that she was catching up quickly. Determined not to let her win, he put on an extra burst of speed. But clumsy Chance did not look where he was going and tripped on a tree root. He stumbled but did not fall. He tried to slow down as he attempted to gather his flailing hooves back underneath himself. When he finally came to a halt, he was right in front of the crick. Suddenly he burst out laughing and dropped into the cool water.

Delicado tried to keep her mouth shut but bursted into laughter anyway. Seriously how did this guy survive, he was so clumsy. "You know some horses are actually able to run without tripping", she giggled when she reached the crick too however she didn't join him in the water.

Chance rolled onto his feet. "Is that so." He was barely able to speak through his laughter. "Maybe I could get one of them to teach me the trick."

"Why yes unknowing one, there is a way to run and control your legs at the same time", she said in a wise voice with her eyes closed in a solemn manner.

"Please wise one, won't you share your knowledge?" he teased. He took two steps toward her and pretended to trip on thin air. He plopped into the water again, splashing Delicado as he fell. "O to know how to walk." he said in a fake sadness.

"That depends.. Are you prepared for the powerful knowledge of walking?", she asked him dramatically trying to hold back her laughter.

"Yes, yes! Please tell me. I need to know." He stood up and bowed before her, pretending to cry. "I am ready."

"Very well then young stumblestallion, I shall teach you our ways", she continued as serious as she could. "It won't be easy but I shall try to guide you", she turned quarterwise and beckoning him to follow her example. "Do just as me"

Chance couldn't help but to let out a small giggle. Quickly he regained himself and he looked as serious as possible. He watched her in awe, "How do you do that? I'm not sure I can." he tried taking a step and , wobbling a little, managed to take another. "I... I'm doing it!"

"I'm so proud my young student", she cheered him on overly dramatic. "That's right just one hoove before the other. I might be asking too much of you but maybe we could try a trot, are you ready for it?", she asked him pursing her lips together to keep from bursting out in laughter

This time Chance managed to keep a straight face. "If you believe I can do it." his eyes sparkled but that was the only hint that he was playing. It seemed that he had had some practice acting before.

This is a small scene of me and ~NaporieRizia's rp Chance is hers and Delicado is mine. This scene is actually pretty old as it happened quite a while back but I don't know I just enjoyed it so much I had to draw it I love is especially because this is just how I act with some good friends in real life too, taking a little joke and turn it into a big ass acting scene xD

Anywho I want to apologize for the crappyness of the horses :c I really really really dislike the ourcome of Chance and Delicado, they just look wrong. I hate the shading and the line art is pretty bad as well... I have reshaded Chance 3 TIMES but he just did not want to look good. so yeah I gave up and just decided to finish it like this... I promise the next time I draw these two it will be better!
I did try to make up with it with the background though and I'm pretty happy about that I think my forest backgrounds are getting better
