Ruffneck Reference Sheet

Name: Ruffneck
Nicknames: The Grump
Breed: Arabian mixed with some Mustang
Gender: Mare
History: Allthough she will probably never tell you, Ruffneck was once the property of a bachelor stallion herd. When she was a young teenager she and her mother got captured and they were forced to stay with the stallions. At first the stallions kept their hands off her since she was too young but her mom wasn't quite so lucky. She tried to hide what the stallions did to her but Ruffneck wasn't stupid. She knew exactly what was going on and what was in store for her as soon as the top dog of the herd deemed her old enough. She pitied her mother and the few other mares that shared the same shameful fate. But more than pity for her mom she felt hatred for the stallions. An intense hatred that couldn't be described in words and which made her change into a very different mare than she once was. The hatred surged though her like poison and it grew deeper and deeper each time she witnissed the horrors of what they had done to the mares. She grew bitter and vile and almost impossible to spend more than a few minutes with. As she grew older some of the younger stallions were already starting to come onto her. She knew she should be afraid of them. She knew what they did to the mares that protested or even talked back. But yet she wasn't scared. She'd be damned before she'd become the little plaything they wanted her to be. So she made it quite clear how she felt about each and every stallion that came close to her. At first they were surprised at her snarky attitude and honest words and then they were amused. Since she was still too young they didn't quite care yet and just accepted her attitude for the time being. They weren't quite so amused however, when she started to get violent. When she felt they got too close to her she'd push them away or even kick them in the shins. When she didn't like the tone they used to her she had even spat in their faces and told them to fuck off. That was the last straw for the stallions and they felt some reprocussion was in order. To make perfectly clear that she was still in fact 'theirs' they beat her trying to get her to submit but she wasn't having any of it. She fought back as long as she could untill she literally couldn't stand anymore. The stallions believed that she'd learned her lesson. But they couldn't have been more wrong. In fact she grew even more rebellious than before. To the point where she got punished almost every day and each and every time she would fight them back. It didn't take long for the stallions to lose interest. Why go through verbal and physical harassment from a teenage mare when there were plenty of other submissive mares to chose from. Only the more dominant stallions kept on trying to literally beat some sense into her but to no avail. Things were starting to look bleak when she was almost of age but it seemed the universe was on her side for a change. The herd ran into some humans, probably cowboys or whatever she didn't know, and all hell broke loose. Chaos reigned supreme when gunshots were heard and the stallions scattered like a piece of broken glass. During all the commotion Ruffneck had tried to look for her mother but when she couldn't find her she decided to chose for herself and she took off running. She never saw her mother or the stallions again. Even though years passed by Ruffneck still isn't the mare she once was. Granted she's not quite as horrible and violent but she is a very rough and unapproachable mare who doesn't seem to care about others. All her life she'd learned to stick up for herself and protect herself by being vile and violent. Even though sometimes she wishes she wasn't like this she can't just change back to the nice and innocent filly she'd once been. Things started to change though when she met Kaidoe...
Personality: Rough, honest (about others), harsh, a bit violent, cranky, closed off, doesn't talk about herself, has hard time softening up to others but there's still a little bit of sweetness behind the vile attitude she shows.

Ruffneck! Most of you probably don't even know her but this girl is an oldie and in one of my long term RP's with NaporieRizia with her cute and innocent stallion Kaidoe. They make quite the odd couple Though I must say he's done a great job getting her to start being like her actual self again c:
